Ms Clarisa Ruiz is a Colombian promoter of artistic life and a children books writer. She is currently the Director of the Department of Arts in the Ministry of Culture of Colombia where she impulses public politics and programs in creative writing, theater, dance, music and visual arts in all the country. Her main objective is to promote the harmonization between education and culture and make reality the democratization of arts education in her country. She has also has worked as deputy Director of the Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro (Bogota), as Director of the Academy of Arts of Bogota and Director of the main national theater in Colombia, Teatro Colon.
